مبرهنة هندسية أساسية تقول إنّ مربع الوتر يساوي مجموع مربعي الضلعين القائمين. في PCA تربط بين التباين والخطأ العمودي.

A fundamental geometric theorem stating the square of the hypotenuse equals the sum of squares of the other two sides. In PCA it links variance to perpendicular error.
