عصبون ماكولوش وبيتس

أول نموذج رياضي للعصبون، نشره وارن ماكولوش ووولتر بيتس عام 1943، وحدة منطقية بمدخلات ثنائية وعتبة إطلاق تُنفِّذ دوال منطقية بسيطة، أرسى فكرة أن الأنشطة العصبية يمكن تمثيلها بحساب منطقي، وأسّس لنشوء الشبكات العصبية الاصطناعية.

The first mathematical model of a neuron, published by Warren McCulloch and Walter Pitts in 1943, a logical unit with binary inputs and a firing threshold that implements simple Boolean functions, establishing that neural activity can be captured by propositional calculus and laying the foundation for artificial neural networks.
