تقنية في البحث الشعاعي تقسم لوغاريتم الاحتمال على طول الجملة مرفوعاً لأسّ معيَّن، لمنع الانحياز نحو الترجمات الأقصر التي تحصل تلقائياً على درجات أعلى لأنها تحتوي على عمليات ضرب احتمالية أقل.
