توزيع احتمالي ذو قمة حادة عند الصفر وأذيال ثقيلة أسّية. يمثّل التوزيع المسبَق البايزي المكافئ لعقوبة L1 في Lasso.

A probability distribution with a sharp peak at zero and exponentially decaying heavy tails. It is the Bayesian prior equivalent of the L1 penalty in Lasso.
