عدد الوصلات الواردة إلى خليّة عصبية واحدة، أي عدد الخلايا في الطبقة السابقة. يحدّد مقدار الإشارة الداخلة ويُستخدم في حساب تباين التهيئة.

The number of incoming connections to a single neuron, i.e. the number of units in the preceding layer. It determines the incoming signal magnitude and is used in initialization variance calculations.
