مجال أسّسه نوربرت وينر يدرس أنظمة التحكم والتغذية الراجعة في الآلات والكائنات الحية. كان أحد المسمّيات المنافسة قبل أن يوحّدها مصطلح «الذكاء الاصطناعي» في مؤتمر دارتموث.

A field founded by Norbert Wiener that studies control and feedback systems in machines and living organisms. It was one of the competing labels before 'artificial intelligence' unified them at Dartmouth.
