فضاء التشكيلات

الفضاء الذي تمثّل كل نقطة فيه ترتيباً كاملاً لجميع جسيمات النظام. لنظام من N جسيم في ثلاثة أبعاد، فضاء التشكيلات له 3N بُعد. خوارزمية متروبوليس تستكشف هذا الفضاء بالمسيرة العشوائية بدلاً من المسح الشامل.

The space in which each point represents a complete arrangement of all particles in a system. For N particles in three dimensions, configuration space has 3N dimensions. The Metropolis algorithm explores this space via random walk rather than exhaustive enumeration.
