Sigma Algebra

مجموعة من المجموعات الجزئية لفضاء العيّنة Ω مغلقة تحت المتمِّمات والاتحادات القابلة للعدّ، وتحتوي على المجموعة الخالية وΩ. عناصرها هي الأحداث التي يمكن تعيين احتمالات لها.

A collection of subsets of the sample space Ω that is closed under complementation and countable unions, and contains both the empty set and Ω. Its elements are the events to which probabilities can be assigned.
