آلية في محوِّل Swin تُبدّل بين تقسيمين للنوافذ في الطبقات المتتابعة: تقسيم منتظم ثم تقسيم مُنزاح بنصف حجم النافذة، ما يُتيح تواصلاً بين النوافذ المتجاورة دون زيادة في التكلفة الحسابية.
