Manifold Hypothesis

الفرضية القائلة بأن البيانات الواقعية عالية الأبعاد تتركّز قرب سطح منحنٍ منخفض الأبعاد (متشعِّب) مغمور في الفضاء المحيط، وأن تعلُّم هذا السطح مفتاح لتعلُّم تمثيل جيد.

The hypothesis that real-world high-dimensional data concentrates near a low-dimensional curved surface (manifold) embedded in the ambient space, and that learning this surface is the key to learning a good representation.
