Tensor Contraction

عملية تُجمَع فيها عناصر مُوتِّر على طول بُعد واحد أو أكثر، فينتج مُوتِّر من درجة أقل. في Shampoo، يُستخدم الانقباض لحساب مصفوفة التكييف لكل بُعد من أبعاد المُوتِّر.

An operation that sums elements of a tensor along one or more dimensions, producing a tensor of lower order. In Shampoo, contraction is used to compute the preconditioner matrix for each dimension of the parameter tensor.
