Shattering

قدرة فئة فرضيات على إنتاج جميع التصنيفات الثنائية الممكنة (2^n تصنيفاً) على مجموعة من n نقطة. إن تحقّق التهشيم فالفئة مرنة بما يكفي لحفظ أي نمط على تلك النقاط، بما في ذلك الضوضاء.

The ability of a hypothesis class to produce all possible binary labelings (2^n labelings) on a set of n points. If shattering occurs, the class is flexible enough to memorize any pattern on those points, including noise.
