Saliency

مقياس يحدد مدى تأثير حذف معامل معيّن على دالة الخسارة. في أسلوب الضرر الدماغي الأمثل يُحسب البروز بضرب نصف المشتق الثاني (الانحناء) في مربع قيمة الوزن.

A measure of how much removing a specific parameter would increase the loss function. In Optimal Brain Damage, saliency is computed as half the second derivative (curvature) times the squared weight value.
