تقنية تسوية كل رقعة صورة إلى متوسط صفري وتباين واحدي قبل حساب خسارة إعادة البناء. تُحسِّن جودة تمثيلات MAE بتوجيه النموذج نحو التباين والبنية المحلية بدل السطوع المطلق.

A technique of normalizing each image patch to zero mean and unit variance before computing the reconstruction loss. Improves MAE's representation quality by directing the model toward local contrast and structure rather than absolute brightness.
