Patch Merging

عملية تجمع كل مربّع 2×2 من الرموز المتجاورة وتربطها ثم تُسقطها خطياً، فتُنصّف الدقة المكانية وتُضاعف عمق القنوات — أشبه بالتجميع أو الالتفاف بخطوة في الشبكات الالتفافية.

An operation that groups each 2×2 neighborhood of adjacent tokens, concatenates them, and linearly projects them, halving spatial resolution and doubling channel depth — analogous to pooling or strided convolution in CNNs.
