مرحلة في SIFT تُحدّد الاتجاه السائد لتدرُّجات الصورة حول النقطة المفتاحية، مما يتيح قياس الواصف نسبةً إلى هذا الاتجاه وبالتالي تحقيق ثبات الدوران.

A SIFT stage that determines the dominant gradient direction around a keypoint, enabling the descriptor to be measured relative to this direction and thus achieving rotation invariance.
