مخرج المرشّح عند تطبيقه على إشارة نبضية واحدة. في كشف الحواف، شكل الاستجابة الاندفاعية يحدد خصائص الكاشف من حيث الكشف والتموضع والاستجابة الواحدة.

The output of a filter when applied to a single impulse signal. In edge detection, the shape of the impulse response determines the detector's detection, localization, and single-response properties.
