عدد خرائط السمات (القنوات) الجديدة التي تُنتجها كل طبقة داخل كتلة كثيفة في شبكة DenseNet. يُرمز إليه بـ k، وقيم شائعة له 12 أو 32. قيم صغيرة تكفي لأن كل طبقة تصل مباشرةً إلى كل السمات السابقة.

The number of new feature maps (channels) that each layer produces within a dense block in a DenseNet. Denoted as k, typical values are 12 or 32. Small values suffice because each layer has direct access to all previous features.
