ظاهرة يتبع فيها خطأ الاختبار منحنى بذروتين: يرتفع أولاً كما يتنبأ منحنى U الكلاسيكي، ثم يبلغ ذروته الحادة عند عتبة الاستيفاء حين يملك النموذج سعة تكفي بالكاد لمطابقة البيانات، ثم يهبط مجدداً في نظام فرط المعاملات حيث يعثر على حلول أنعم.
A phenomenon where test error follows a two-peaked curve: it first rises as the classical U-curve predicts, then peaks sharply at the interpolation threshold where the model barely has enough capacity to fit the data, then descends again in the overparameterized regime as the model finds smoother solutions.
